My Favorite Quick Running Burn

Anyone want a short, high intensity, running workout that is one of my very favorites? Very easy to do when you are lacking on time. Trust me! I know that everyone has a life, and does not want running to consume as much of their life as it does mine ;) So who wants to know what it is?

Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up.

Duration: Roughly 50 minutes

WORKOUT: Hill Sprinters

  • Start off your run with 15 minutes of easy jogging (if modifications are needed, do 2 minutes walking, 3 minutes running x3)

  • Find a hill with a 7-10% grade.

  • Do 5x 30s hard efforts, with a recovery walk down the hill back to the start.

  • Then, do 5x 45s hard efforts, again with a recovery walk back to the start.

  • Finish off with 10-15 minutes of an easy, slow jog (or walk).

  • Stretch/Core


This is a quick and efficient way to raise your heart rate, as well as get your body into the best shape possible! Hill efforts might seem hard in the moment, but I believe they are the best, and most beneficial, speedy workout there is! Feel free to email me any questions you have :)
